(1) Dual interface cards
The dual interface cards are made of PVC layer containing chip coil, based on a single chip, with integration of contact and non-contact smart card. It has two user interfaces. Users can access to the chip trough the contacting point, or can also in a separated distance (10CM), using RF to access to the chip. There is only one chip in the card with two interfaces; through the contact interface and the non-contact interface you can perform the same operation. The two interfaces, respectively, follow two different standards: the contact interface is in line with the ISO / IEC 7816; non-contact is in compliance with the ISO / IEC 14443. Both interfaces share the same microprocessor, operating system, and EEPROM. The card contains a microprocessor chip and an antenna coil connected to the microprocessor, providing energy by the electromagnetic fields generated by the reader, and realizing energy supply and data transmission via radio frequency.
(2) CPU card
CPU card has a microprocessor CPU, storage unit (including random access memory RAM, program memory ROM (FLASH), user data memory EEPROM), and chip operating system COS in the card IC. CPU card is equivalent to a microcomputer equipped with COS, not only having data storage capabilities, and also having the function of the command processing and data security.
